Copenhagen St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2010

Experience what the Irish community and culture has to offer when the sixth Copenhagen St. Patrick’s Day Parade invites children and adults of all nationalities to participate in the celebration of the Irish national day in Copenhagen on Wednesday March 17th 2010.

If this is not enough to stay warm, you can find strength in an Irish coffee. Children can get a free St. Patrick’s Day face paint. It will also be possible to buy green hats for children and adults.

Why do we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a parade in Copenhagen?
With a nation follows a particular culture or cultures. The national day of Ireland is a very suitable day to indulge in Ireland’s rich culture, including guest from Ireland and the forms Irish culture has taken in Denmark, through artists, musicians, dancers, writers and actors and people who enjoy the Irish social culture. Numerous larger cities in the world celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a parade. Although this tradition was started by Irish immigrants in America, Irish culture has great appeal to many non-Irish and is now appreciated by Irish and non-Irish alike. Why not join the tradition and bring this festive celebration to the streets of Copenhagen?

Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day
